Description: To keep cool on a sandy beach, humans use sandals. The clever Sand Cat doesn't need them, since it has thick hair on its feet to protect it from the sizzling Sahara desert sands. A small cat with a very long tail, the Sand cat can be found in very dry parts of the earth, like Egypt, Israel, and Pakistan. Pale brown to light gray, the Sand Cat hunts hares, birds and bugs by night. In one way, this cat is a bit like a dog - to contact other Sand Cats, it lets out short barks!
